The Single Farmer Project was established to assist Ethiopian Producers with traceable coffee. In 2012, amid Ethiopia’s coffee export difficulties, CEO Jason Long supported a cooperative in exporting the first genuinely “Farm Traceable ”Ethiopian coffee lots, enabling roasters to showcase individual farmers. This event marked the beginning of traceability in Ethiopia and inspired stories such as paying farmers directly in Yirgacheffe using Ethiopian Birr.
